Europe-Asia contemporary dance to dazzle Vietnamese audiences


VietNamNet Bridge – The fifth annual “Europe meets Asia in contemporary dance” festival is set to get underway in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City from September 30 to October 4.

During five-day event, Vietnamese audiences will enjoy multi-style dances from diversified countries across the world, including France, Germany, Israel, Japan, Poland and the host, Vietnam.


Notably, performances cooperated by Belgian and Vietnamese dancers are expected to lure many viewers.


The highlight of the festival this year will be the show of artists from Berlin-based company Sasha Waltz & Guests, which is well-known in the world for its innovative choreographic musical theatre performances.


In the capital, most of performances within the festival will take place at the Hanoi Youth Theatre. Besides, a piece of work “Zweiland” of German art troupe will be performed at Hanoi Opera House.


This is the first time the festival will be expanded to Ho Chi Minh City where dance performances of art troupes from France and Wallonie-Bruxelles group will be held.


In Hanoi, free tickets are available from September 23 in the Goethe Institute on 56-58 Nguyen Thai Hoc Street, French Cultural Centre L’Espace on 24 Trang Tien Street, and Japan Foundation on 27 Quang Trung Street.


In Ho Chi Minh City, art lovers can receive free tickets in HCM City Dance School on 155 Nam Ky Khoi Nghia Street in District 3.
