Pham Van Dong (Go Vap)

Pham Van Dong Street is known as a “paradise of barbeque” with more than 20 of barbeque and hotpot restaurants. Cooking methods are varied as grilling by wood coals, hot tiles, or infrared cookers. The shops on this street are decorated simply but are very clean. The average prices for beef, pork, fish, eggs, grilled scallops range from VND40,000 to VND70,000 ($1.8-$3.2).

Duong Quang Ham (Go Vap)

Vinh Khanh (District 4)

Not only famous as “snail heaven,” Vinh Khanh Street is also home to the busiest barbeque restaurants every evening. In addition to meat, many shops offer fresh seafood like grilled shrimp with salt and chilli, roasted fish, grilled octopus, grilled scallops with onion … with prices ranging from VND60,000 to VND100,000 a plate.

Trung Son (District 8)

From 5pm, this area, which is distant from the city center, is always crowded. It has reasonable prices and quick service. The most famous dish here is grilled sticks priced VND5,000/stick.
