The Ho Chi Minh City Museum has many valuable artifacts reflecting the life of Saigon residents over time. In the dark corner of the museum corridor is a fire truck, a unique artifact of over 100 years old. This is considered the oldest fighting vehicle of the Chinese in Saigon.

The fire engine has two storeys, 1.4 m high, 1.2 m long, 50 cm wide. Its frame is made of iron, with the wood cover and being painted in red.

The mansion of a Chinese tycoon named Hua Bon Hoa, now the Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts Museum, on Pho Duc Chinh Street, District 1, is one of the first houses in Vietnam with an elevator.

This building was inaugurated in 1925. The wooden elevator was installed in the center of the building.

Using pulleys, this was the most modern elevator in the early 20th century.
