Two Vietnamese movies, namely “Chang Trai Nam Ay” (Dandelion) and “Dap Canh Giua KhongTrung” (Flapping in the Middle of Nowhere), will participate in the Luang Prabang film festival, set to run in Laos in December.
The information has released by Founder & Director of the Festival, Gabriel Kuperman.
This is the second time, a film of Vietnamese director Nguyen QuangHuy has been chosen to take part in the event. Last year, he joined the festival with “Than Tuong” (The Talents) film.
This year, the two Vietnamese films will join 26 other films from Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Myanmar.
The event is scheduled to take place on December 5 – 9 to mark the 20th anniversary of Luang Prabang’s listing as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
