A market where traders are almost sleepless

The market turns more bustling when trucks from other provinces arrive. Traders and their partners talk business while porters are busy unloading goods from the trucks and delivering goods to customers.

For some traders, the market is not only a place for business but also their second house. Kim Phuong, the owner of a seafood stall, said she has been working there for nine years.

Various kinds of goods are transported to Binh Dien Wholesale Market from 9 p.m. every day. Seafood like fish, shrimp and octopus is classified according to their size and the needs of customers.

From 1 a.m., small resellers from wet markets citywide come there to collect goods for resale early in the morning.

According to the Binh Dien Market management board, several thousand people frequent Binh Dien every night. The market creates jobs for a large number of people who are willing to work hard at night.
