According to the draft circular of the Ministry of Finance (MoF) onthe regulations on collection, payment, management and usage of fees forvisas and passports into Vietnam, fees for obtaining a multiple-entryvisa into the country will be strongly increased:

Previous to the change, the fees were $65 for a visa of less than onemonth, $95 for less than six months, and $135 for six months upwards.
Meanwhile, a single-entry visa for tourists remains unchanged, at $45 under the draft circular.
When VIR asked MoF’s Deputy Minister Vu Thi Mai at last week’sgovernment press conference about the rise in fees for multiple-entryvisas, she refused to comment on the issue.
Nguyen Van Tuan, director of a locally-owned tourist company inHanoi, told VIR that: “I suggest that single-entry visa fees fortourists not be raised, though the existing fee level of $45 remainsunchanged in the draft circular. If it was raised, local tourismindustry would be badly affected as the number of foreign tourists woulddecrease.”
