As tourists from across the country and around the world are flocking to Nha Trang, locals choose to ride north to Tien Beach for a peaceful hideaway.

Tien, which means “fairy” in Vietnamese, is less than ten kilometers from downtown Nha Trang. It is located at the end of a newly paved road which runs between the sea and the mountain as an extension of Pham Van Dong Street.

From the road, you have to walk down a bushy path to the beach, which is full of pebbles and stones in all shapes and sizes.

The deep blue sea, the towering rock cliffs and the fog-like waves give the beach a dreamlike look.

Some people have chosen it as an ideal place to practice yoga and to shoot wedding photos.

Men ride bicycles along a newly paved road to Tien Beach. The road does not have a name yet and most locals just call it “the New Road.”
