Ha Long bay: Top 15 vacation spots “you need to experience before you die”

Ha Long bay is recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and is the most famous destination in Quang Ninh province, attracting large numbers of foreign and domestic tourists each year.

The bay is 165 km far from the capital of Hanoi. Covering an area of 43,400 ha and including over 1600 islands and islets, most of which are uninhabitated and unaffected by humans, it forms a spectacular seascape of limestone pillars and is an ideal model of a mature Karst landscape developed during a warm and wet tropical climate.

The votes from around the world confirmed the world heritage site as a world tourism hotspot.

BuzzFeed, information site specializing in social and entertainment news in the US recently published a list of nearly 100 spectacular photographs proving the earth is the best planet.
