Hanoi to get separate tourism department

 

Currently, the city has only one department of culture,sports and tourism. As the capital, Ha Noi has potential for furthertourism development. The establishment of a separate department toregulate the city’s tourism issues would boost tourism promotion andhelp utilise the city’s strengths.

In the first six months of the year, more than 10 millionvisitors came to Ha Noi, an increase of four per cent over the sameperiod last year. More than 1.6 million of these visitors wereforeigners, a year-on-year increase of 8.8 per cent.
