This Ho Chi Minh City eatery that sells duck noodle soups is not just famous for its delicious taste but also the unique time of serving: the eatery opens for one hour only.

The eatery is located in a small alley on Le Van Sy Street in Tan Binh District. The open hour is strictly from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m every day.

But people usually flock to the eatery, which is actually a house, at 3:15 p.m. and occupy the seats as soon as they see them.

The owner of the place arranges seats for customers in the living room and the front yard of the house.

During the one hour his shop is open, he is extremely busy preparing food for dozens of customers.

The eatery serves two dishes: gỏi vịt (duck salad) and bún măng vịt (duck noodle soup).

The duck salad has slices of duck meat on top of shredded cabbage and onions. The soft, sweet duck meat slices are dipped in ginger fish sauce, while the coleslaw is dressed with lemon juice. That makes a perfect combination of taste for this dish.

The duck noodle soup comprises of rice noodles, sliced duck meat and shredded bamboo shoots. The broth tastes sweet and it seemed to be moderately seasoned.

Many customers said this eatery has the best duck in Saigon.

The duck is not too fat, which can be seen as the fat layer is not too thick and the skin gets attached to the lean meat.

That is the reason why the eatery is always crowded despite its location and inconvenient time of serving.

Address: The eatery is located at 281/26 Le Van Sy Street, Ward 1, Tan Binh District.
