Nguyen My Huong
Beethoven has brought the Classical form to its highest expressivelevel and he is considered as a pioneer of Romanticism.
With his sonatasfor violin, composed between 1797 and 1812, he was following his rolemodel Mozart, who recognized the violin as an equal partner for thepiano for the first time.
Furthermore, Beethoven’s sonata are known fortheir unconventional modulations and rhythms, which first shocked theaudience, but after a while it was seen as the own course of the greatclassic artist.
Beethoven already enjoyed in his lifetime an outstandingposition: The world premiere of his Sonata No. 10 in G major took placein Vienna at Prince Lobkowitz’s palace and the archduke played thepiano.
Around 200 years later you can experience this completeexceptional music cycle for the first time in Hanoi – an exceedinglyoccasion for lovers of music.
