Hanoi – then and now

In 1945, Bac Bo phu became the Government Guesthouse. In 2005, the site was recognised as a historical site.

The post became the office of Hoan Kiem district’s police.



Hoa Lo prison – Maison Centrale. Over more than half a century, 200 revolutionary soldiers died and many were subjected to cruel torture and long detainment at the prison.



The prison is now a historical site open to visitors.
