Three foreign experts to direct Vietnam Int’l Fashion Week

VietNamNet Bridge – Three experts from Singapore and France will come to HCM City to direct fashion shows at the Vietnam International Fashion Week (VIFW).

The director of the Vietnam International Fashion Week 2014, senior model Xuan Lan, could not continue directing VIFW 2015 because her working schedule has been full for the year.

Therefore, the VIFW organizing committee has invited three international experts to Vietnam to replace the position of the former model, including Daniel Boey, Jean Paul Cauvin and Kovit Ang.

Daniel Boey is known as the “Godfather of Singapore fashion industry”. He has many years worked with world-famous designers, and fashion brands like Christian Dior, Louis Vuitton, Jean Paul Gaultier, Hugo Boss, Vera Wang, Christophe Josse, Alexis Mabille … Daniel Boey also served as the judge of Asia’s Next Top Model.

Kovit Ang is a producer and catwalk director of many fashion shows in Singapore. Starting his career as a stylist, he has over 10 years experience in the construction of fashion concepts and catwalk directing for the Singapore Fashion Week, Pacific Style Week 2014 … He has worked with Chanel, Sisley, Topshop, BeBe, Longchamp, Balmain, Just Cavalli …

Besides two experts from Singapore, Jean Paul Cauvin from Paris will be in charge of directing the Haute Couture show by designer Julien Fournie and three mini collections of young designers from the Atelier Chardon Savard Academy of Fashion.

VIFW organizers hope that the experience of the experts will make the event more professional. The event will take place from October 14 to 18 in HCM City.
