Autumn Book Festival to introduce thousands of books

The 2015 Autumn Book Festival, featuring around 15,000 books in numerous genres, will be held at the Vietnam Women’s Museum in Hanoi from October 29-31.

The displayed books were published by Phu Nu (Women) Publishing House, Kim Dong Publishing House and the Tre (Youth) Publishing House.

Visitors to the event can get up to 50% discounts on some book titles, as well as buy books at reduced prices of VND5,000-VND10,000 per book at one-price book booths.

Additionally, a variety of gifts, including bookmarks, handbags and pens will be presented to readers.

Numerous programmes introducing new books, forums and seminars on topics related to books as well as talks with famous authors and artists will also be held during the festival, which are expected to attract a large number of book lovers.

Small children can take part in vibrant activities including painting classes, fun mini games and Halloween themed mini games.

The event aims to offer an opportunity for publishers to introduce their new books directly to readers as well as inspire enthusiasm for reading among younger generations.
