Viet Nam's first monorail to open at Da Nang Asia Park in January

DA NANG (VNS) — A monorail system, the most modern of its kind in Viet Nam, will be put into operation at Da Nang’s Asia Park on January 1.

It will be the first-ever monorail in Viet Nam. It will be a 1.8 kilometres in length.

Eight monorails with 11 cabins each will serve the park for transport among three stations as well as provide sightseeing views. Its designed capacity is for more than 2,000 passengers per hour.

Designed by the Intamin Transportation company from Switzerland, one of the world’s leading suppliers of monorails, the new system has eco-friendly renewable and clean energy technologies. — VNS
