Thirty-four contestants to vie for Miss Mekong Delta title

As many as 34 contestants compete in the final round of the Miss Mekong Delta pageant 2015, scheduled to be held in the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho from June 1-27.

The Sen Vang Company, which has organised the contest, has announced that contestants have a chance to take part in a number of cultural and social activities, as well as the pageant itself.

They have performance in traditional costumes, swimsuits and evening wear, and take part in a question-and-answer session.

Miss Mekong Delta will receive a crown and a cash prize of VND300 million (US$14,000). The first and second runners-up will take away VND150 million (US$7,000) and VND70 million (US$3,400) respectively.

The organisers will also award titles such as Miss Talent, Miss Tourism and Miss Ao Dai, among others. Each winner will receive over VND20 million (US$920).

The night will be broadcast live on June 27 on HTV9, VTV Can Tho and CT43, and other provincial TV channels.
