Da Nang to open street lined with lanterns

DA NANG (VNS) — The central city of Da Nang will open a 1-km road with thousands of colourful lanterns tomorrow. The road will open at Asia Park.

One-hundred artisans have been working to finish the road on time for the Mid-Autumn Festival.

The centre strip of the road will be decorated with hundreds of traditional Vietnamese bamboo-frame lanterns, besides lanterns in shapes of stars and carp fish. Lanterns from Japan, Indonesia, and Singapore also exist. — VNS
