Suoi Tien Theme Park marks 20th anniversary with big promotions

Suoi Tien Theme Park will launch a promotion campaign on the occasion of its 20th anniversary, as well as to celebrate the Independent Day (September 2) and the major Buddhist festival of Vu Lan, or Ullambana.

Vu Lan is a festival held in the seventh lunar month (August 14-September 12 this year) that is known as the season of filial piety.

A 2,600 square meter square has been launched, highlighted with a 10-ton statue of Di Lac, or Maitreya Bodhisatva Buddha.

The Buddha is believed to turn all distress to happiness for prayers, according the the theme park.

Suoi Tien will offer promotions from September 3-30 with combo ticket for 20 games to be discounted to VND250,000 (US$11.2) from VND530,000 ($23.6) for adults and from VND390,000 to VND200,000 for children.

Each gate ticket will be awarded free entrance to two zoos in the park, Crocodile’s Kingdom and Country of Thousands of Animals.

During the Vu Lan month, visitors can pray good blessings for their parents at the Wish Tree at the Primeval Forest and participating in many events and rituals to wish for good luck.

Founded in 1995 on an area of 55 hectares (136 acres) at the current outlying District 9, Suoi Tien has become one of the leading theme parks nationwide.

It has been renovated several times with more than 150 games and constructions with a total investment of VND4 trillion (US$178 million).

The park, which is also famous for its annual fruits festival every summer, attract more than 5 million of people every year.
