Number of international visitors to Viet Nam rebounds in July

By means of transportation, the visitors to Viet Nam by air estimated 508,460 arrivals, accounting for 85.7% of the total int’l arrivals to Viet Nam in July, up 21.3% over the previous month; By sea:1,958 and by road: 83,148, accounting for 0.3% and 14%, respectively.

In July, the number of arrivals from 5 European countries which have recently exempted from visa significantly grew: Spain (+71.1%), Italy (+18.3%), Germany (+45.1%), UK (+30%) and France (+73.6%). In addition, some of big markets also increased sharply over the last month: USA (+11,6%), China (+11,9%), Taiwan (+35,6%), and Australia (+52,2%).

Total international arrivals in 7 months reached 4,398,202 arrivals, down 9.4% over the same period last year, in which the biggest drops were Cambodia (-43.9%), Laos (-36.1%), Thailand (-31.2%), China (-24.4%), and Hong Kong (-14,7%). Markets enjoying positive growth include: South Korea (+35.5%), Finland (+15.8%), Singapore (+13.4%), USA (+5.6%), Taiwan (+3.8%), Japan (+1.2%), Netherlands (+0.8%)…

The number of domestic trippers in the first 7 months of 2015 estimated 43.1 million; total tourism receipts reached VND 214,371 billions, up 1.5% over the same period last year.
