The festival aims to support Vietnamese cartoon makers to develop their products; introduce Vietnamese cartoons to the world market and introduce the Korean cartoon industry to the Vietnamese market. The highlight of the event will be a contest for making short cartoons, which can be entered by everyone. The three best cartoons will be assisted for further development to take part in the Chuncheon International cartoon festival this September.
There will be also several activities to share experiences in making cartoons with children able to participate and watch all the cartoons free of charge.
The event is co-organized by the Korean Cultural Centre in Vietnam, Cinematography Department under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and Vietnam Cartoon Company. It will take place in Hanoi from August 13th to 16th.
