Celebrating 70 years for culture sector

The event was also attended by Politburo member and Head of the Party Central Committee"s Commission for Communication and Education Dinh The Huynh, leaders of ministries and sectors, as well as 300 outstanding representatives of the culture sector.


Minister of Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism made a speech at the ceremony. He affirmed a great meaning of history of culture sector in 70 past years. The sector has changed and developed to comply target in each period, according to function and task of the Party, the State. On July 31, 2007, the 12th National Assembly promoted Resolution to establish Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Minister highly praised some important changes. Cultural life of people has developed. Many cultural campaigns and activities have developed family culture and community. Some cultural activities have contributed to adjust and promote cultural base. Many intangible and tangible cultural heritages has been maintained and developed. Ethic culture has studied and collected. Right of religious freedom of people has been respected.




The State management of culture has promoted and fulfilled. Campaign “All people unite into building cultural life has developed in quality and quantity. Composing and performing has developed; supplying some creative and valuable works. Tourism has been influenced by the global crisis but gained gained results.




With many achievements, culture sectors have gained some wards such as golden star order; HCM order, hundreds of orders and Certificate of Merits honoured by the Prime Minister. In 70 past years, Minister Hoang Tuan Anh proposed that the sector developed their role, position to comply with approach and Resolution of the Party; encourage creation more about culture for people.




Anh believed that the sector would continue to try and fulfill task of soldiers in term of culture to build and develop the country.



Deputy PM Vo Duc Dam made the remarks at a ceremony



The Deputy PM Vo Duc Dam made the remarks at a ceremony hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in Hanoi on August 22 to mark the 70th anniversary of the culture sector and open the ministry’s patriotic emulation congress.


In his speech, Dam praised the culture, sports, and tourism sector’s achievements over recent years, saying that Vietnam has a rich culture with many heritage sites. Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam has hailed that over its 70 years, the culture sector has promoted its role on the culture and ideology front as well as made contributions to the national construction and defence.




“Developing an advanced Vietnamese culture embracing national identity is a long-term task. Preventing negative cultural behaviors are the responsibility of the whole society but, first of all, state managers," he said. He recalled that in the national resistance wars, culture served as a link connecting the home front and the front lines while promoting the nation. In peace time, culture has been a motivation to mobilize all resources to facilitate the international integration, he extolled.




He acknowledged that emulation movements launched by the sector have contributed to developing Vietnamese people’s culture with many people and deeds honoured. He hoped that the sector’s patriotic emulation movements would focus on inspiring creativeness among those working in the field, honouring positive participants, and preserving Vietnamese culture.




At the ceremony, Politburo member Dinh The Huynh presented the Ho Chi Minh order to culture sector’s leaders in recognition of their contributions to the national revolutionary cause.


Also at the ceremony, Deputy Minister Le Khanh Hai launched the emulation campaign in 2015-2020 aims to encourage cadres and labourer to work and fulfill the best task to develop culture, sports and tourism in 2015 and 2016-2020 periods.
